The announcement that the hospital will be getting a makeover by way of shareholding is in conjunction with Fortis’s original plan of investment. The Fortis Hospital at Sheshadripuram is a part of the Fortis chain’s attempts to establish a network of super specialty “centers of excellence” and multi-specialty hospitals to deliver quality healthcare to patients across the country. This new investment will help the chain to attract doctors and patients as well as increase brand recognition. After the investment in Malar Hospitals Limited in Chennai, the Apollo RM Hospital venture comes as Fortis’ second in South India.
